Area Shield
Block spam calls by area code. Private, simple and on-device.

Screens are from the app's Google Play listing. The call log shows example numbers from the 555-01xx range set aside for fiction.
Why it matters
Area Shield uses Android's call-screening role to decide, on the device, which calls ring. It began as a one-day experiment that blocked a single state, and grew into a full app with presets, lists, diagnostics and a free trial.
- 01
Block by state or area code
Pick a state preset or individual area codes, and calls from them stop ringing.
- 02
Contacts always get through
People in your contacts ring through whatever the rules say.
- 03
Nothing leaves the phone
Screening happens on the device. Contact lookups and the call log stay local.

- Always-block and always-allow lists, and a local log of screened calls.
- Rules export and import, plus onboarding and diagnostics screens.
How it works
